107 Spring Street
Sponsored by the Seattle Transit Riders Union
The Transit Riders Union has been rocking it this year! TRU played a leading role in building the Trump-Proof Seattle Coalition, which in July won passage of the first progressive income tax in Washington State in over 80 years. This fall TRU is helping to lead the Housing For All Coalition, over 60 organizations dedicated to improving our city’s response to the homelessness and housing crisis.
We do this work on a shoestring budget because we believe in it. TRU is growing and we need your support to sustain and expand our work. Please join Councilmember Mike O’Brien and other amazing co-hosts on Monday, November 13th to celebrate TRU’s past successes and set us up for many more in the future.
This Happy Hour is free to attend, but please note that guests will be asked to make a meaningful donation (suggested donation $75-$150) to support TRU’s work.
Even if you cannot attend this event, please consider donating to TRU at transitriders.org/donate.
Co-hosts: Rep. Frank Chopp, Sen. Rebecca Saldaña, Rep. Nicole Macri, Councilmember Larry Gossett, Councilmember Kshama Sawant, Nick Licata, Steve Williamson, John Burbank, and Michael Tamayo.
Co-sponsors: Economic Opportunity Institute, SEIU Local 6, ATU 587, PTE Local 17.
Thanks to WeWork for the venue, Foodz Catering for the wine, Optimism Brewery for the beer, and Cafe Paloma for snacks!
